I painted this piece as part of the “Rockies Repeat” film project I was part of, which featured 6 emerging female and two-spirited artists documenting glacial recession and climate change. We had an amazing opportunity to go up to Lake O’Hara during the pandemic to paint and film, and we spent one of the days perched on rocks on the shores of Victoria Lake, painting the view. This piece was a study for a larger circular wooden panel I made for the show we eventually put on at the Whyte Museum in Banff, but I love the tender, delicate look of it and decided to frame it and see if it would find a home.

This 9x11” original painting comes float mounted and framed in a white 11x14” frame, ready to hang on the wall.
