The photo for this painting was taken by my god-brother, Erik McRitchie. His photography is absolutely unreal, and I was so thrilled when he gave me permission to paint this view of Marvel Lake in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. This part of the Rockies is just magical, and I count myself so very lucky to call these places my backyard.
